What Are The Benefits?

The benefits to Cosmetic dentistry are wide ranging and plentiful. They are however individualized. What matters most are the specific circumstances that apply to you.

Here are just a few reasons Cosmetic Dental Work may help you:

  • Cosmetic dentistry can improve your self-confidence.

  • Cosmetic dentistry can enhance your career.

  • Cosmetic dentistry can prevent dental damage.

Veneers

Veneers are very thin tooth shaped shells or casings that are attached to the front part of teeth. It is an upgraded version of your existing teeth made up mostly of porcelain or composite resin. We recommend veneers that are made of high quality porcelain as they are technically stronger than composite resin veneers and do not change in colour or stain. Generally speaking, the procedure for porcelain veneers takes about twice the amount of time as composite veneers however the resulting veneers last twice as long.

Zoom Teeth Whitening

Zoom is a popular and effective bleaching process that is widely used among Dentists worldwide. It is the most impactful way to lighten any existing discolouration of enamel and dentin. Tooth discolouration occurs naturally and can be the result of drinking coffee, tea, soda, red wine and/or from smoking. Aging also plays a role in the staining and darkening of your teeth.

In this process our Dentists use a patented Zoom Lamp that accelerates the bleaching process by activating the hydrogen peroxide in the whitening agent. As it begins to react, oxygen is permitted to enter the enamel and dentin in order to bleach any stained surfaces while leaving the structure/ shape of the tooth unchanged.

Dental Bonding

Composite bonding can work wonders for your smile. Using resin materials that match the shade, translucency and the texture of your teeth, gaps between teeth can be closed, spots and discolouration can be eliminated, and your self-confidence can be enhanced through the improved appearance of your smile. All from a filling like procedure. The procedure is sometimes referred to as bonding because an adhesive agent is used to actually bond the resin to the tooth structure.

The resin is hardened (cured) with a curing light and then shaped, contoured, and polished to give a cosmetic and natural appearance. Bonding is the least expensive cosmetic procedure and can be completed during a single dental visit.
